Live Guest Portraits: Start Here
Portrait Guidelines
These guidelines can be adjusted if necessary. If you want as many people painted as smoothly and quickly as possible however, in my years of experience, these guidelines help create the best outcome. Please let me know if you need any clarification on anything.
TIME: Generally, each painted figure featured in a portrait takes about five to ten minutes to create depending on the style you choose and the number of guests featured per portrait.
GROUP PORTRAITS: Unless the Client specifically requests group portrait that exceeds two people per portrait before the event, group photos featuring more than two people will not be permitted by guests because they take a long time and could potentially prevent other guests from getting their portraits.
We are happy to paint as many people as you want in your portraits! Just be mindful that the more figures there are to paint in each portrait will affect how many portraits might be finished by the end of the night. A portrait with 4+ people can take 15-30mins.
ONE PER PERSON: Due to the volume of requests and guests, only one portrait can be painted per couple or person. No duplicates of portraits will be made unless the Client has requested after the event.
PHOTOS: These portraits are painted in the moment inspired by the moment! No outside photos will be accepted unless pre-approved by the client. Mandy Berry Fine Art will have a sign on the table explaining this and reserves the right to turn away requests people make to paint photos from their phone.
FIRST COME FIRST SERVE: Portraits are painted in a first come first serve. The only exception that will be made for this rule is for whoever the Client wants painted before the end of the night. In order to be fair, an artist cannot rush to paint a portrait for someone who is leaving before the end of the night and will not deliver it to them after the wedding unless you include that in portraits painted after the wedding.
MISCONDUCT: Mandy Berry Fine Art trains artists to be on their best behavior while they create. We will not tolerate any misconduct, rude, explicit, or inappropriate speech directed at any member of the team. We reserve the right to kindly and calmly turn away any quests who refuse to follow the guidelines, wait their turn, or treat the team with disrespect.
NOT EVERYONE IS GUARANTEED A PORTRAIT: The amount of portraits completed by the end of the night depends on the kinds of request, when people make a request for a portrait, and how many spots are left on the sign up sheet. The artists are not obligated to send or ship them their portrait after the event beyond what is clearly included in each package.
END OF THE NIGHT: The watercolor table will be closed for requests an hour before the night ends so the rest of the portraits can be finished. The Artist will keep this open if at by the end of the night all the portraits are finished early of course.
